Everything began with a conversation with a close friend about health, touching on topics related to education and the well-being of the human body. It was then that the subject of organic clothing —or garments made through organic production— came up, and I immediately felt that this was the path to start my business. I began to research and step by step discovered this new world that I didn’t know. I combined my own need, as a consumer, for clothing different from what the general market offered with the feeling of protecting my skin.

I realized that there is room in the market for a brand that can offer what we truly need: education in integral health and good clothing.

The challenges or guidelines of Americatino must produce everything in one single country or region. The best part is that the United States has everything necessary to make it possible.

Supima cotton comes from the species Gossypium barbadense, one of the finest and most exclusive cotton fibers in the world. Its name comes from “Superior Pima,” since it is a premium variant of Pima cotton grown only in the United States (mainly in California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas).

Characteristics of Supima cotton:

  • Extra-long staple fiber (ELS – Extra Long Staple): its average length exceeds 34 mm, almost double that of conventional cotton. This provides greater softness, strength, and natural luster.

  • Superior strength: it is up to 45% stronger than other cottons, making it more durable and resistant to wear and pilling.

  • Exceptional softness: its fine and silky fiber creates fabrics with a luxurious feel, pleasant against the skin.

  • Color retention: it absorbs dyes better and maintains the intensity and brightness of colors even after many washes.

  • Breathable and hypoallergenic: it regulates moisture well and is ideal for sensitive skin.
